FEI Leadership Excellence Accelerator: People Leader Track

Financial Executives International (FEI) is partnered with The Leadership Hospital to deliver the FEI Leadership Excellence Accelerator. The 2025 Building a Sustainable Talent Pipeline Report from the Financial Education & Research Foundation (FERF) identified five dimensions critical to the talent pipeline:

  • Technical Accounting,
  • Business Acumen,
  • Communication,
  • Leadership, and
  • Advanced Reasoning.

This program is developed as a solution to leadership challenges and skills gaps identified by top finance leaders in that study.

During this virtual learning journey, early to midlevel career professionals in the financial and accounting industry will advance their business acumen as well as their communication, leadership and advanced reasoning skills.

The FEI Leadership Excellence Accelerator is a cohort-based program with opportunities for participants to engage live sessions facilitated virtually as well as explore learning materials asynchronously.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may earn a digital leadership certificate from FEI that serves as a prestigious distinction within the industry, along with CPE credit.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

This program is delivered in a virtual format utilizing tools such as Mighty Networks & Zoom. Learners will engage in live facilitated group sessions, consisting of micro-learning components, interactive discussions, and strategic tool application.

This program prepares professionals in the financial industry for leadership roles. After the program, learners are prepared to:

INVESTMENT

2025 tuition is $2,695 USD due at the time of registration on the FEI website. Tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable to another person, and non-transferable to a future cohort.

The Leader Maturity Model is a five-stage framework that guides individuals from contributor to emerging leader to people leader to functional leader to enterprise leader. This model helps leaders grow with intention, scaling their impact as they progress.

With that in mind, the FEI Leadership Excellence Accelerator consists of multiple tracks relative to leader maturity.

People Leader Track:

  • Time in Career: 5–10 years
  • Typical Titles: Accounting Manager, Audit/Tax Manager, Finance Manager, Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Finance, Risk, Operations, Branch Manager or Team Lead (in banking/wealth)
  • Experience: First-level people managers, balancing execution and development of junior staff
