Stronger Together: The Power of the FEI Community

by FEI Staff

As FEI approaches its 95th year, discover how a trusted community of more than 11,000 financial leaders connects nationally and locally to support leadership, insight, and growth.

As 2025 comes to a close, financial leaders are doing more than reviewing results and finalizing forecasts. Many are reflecting on the challenges they navigated, the decisions that mattered most, and the people who helped them lead with confidence in an increasingly complex environment.

For finance and accounting professionals, one thing has become clear: community matters more than ever

At Financial Executives International (FEI), our community is built on the shared experience of finance leaders who understand the weight of the role and the value of learning from one another. Founded in 1931, FEI has supported generations of finance leaders for nearly 95 years, adapting alongside a profession that continues to evolve.

“What makes FEI different is the quality of the conversations. You’re engaging with peers who truly understand the complexity of the finance role and are willing to share what’s worked—and what hasn’t.”

A Community Built for Today’s Finance Leaders

From economic uncertainty and regulatory change to talent challenges and emerging technologies, financial leaders face a pace of change that leaves little room to go it alone. What sets FEI apart is the opportunity to connect with peers who are navigating the same issues, often in real time.

Today, FEI brings together more than 11,000 Members through over 50 Chapters across the United States, creating a national network with strong local connections.

Through FEI National programs, Members gain access to timely insights, thought leadership, and conferences that address the most pressing issues in finance leadership.

At the Chapter level, those conversations become even more personal – rooted in local relationships, shared challenges, and trusted peer dialogue.

Together, National and Chapter engagement creates a powerful ecosystem where Members can:

  • Learn from peers who have “been there.
  • Exchange practical insights, not just theory.
  • Build relationships that extend beyond a single event or program.
  • Stay informed and prepared in a rapidly evolving profession.

The Strength of National and Chapter Engagement

FEI’s strength lies in the connection between its National and Chapter communities. National initiatives provide broad perspective and expert analysis, while Chapters deliver local market relevance and deepen peer relationships.

Each year, FEI delivers more than 90 webinars and offers over 750 CPE credits, helping Members stay current, informed, and prepared – while also meeting continuing education needs.

“Being active at both the National and Chapter levels has helped me stay informed while also building meaningful local relationships.”

That sense of connection doesn’t happen by accident – it’s created through participation, shared learning, and a commitment to engaging with fellow financial leaders.

Looking Ahead: Why Staying Engaged Matters

As we look toward the year ahead, the value of being connected to a trusted professional community will only continue to grow. The challenges facing financial leaders are not getting simpler – but they are easier to navigate when you have access to experienced peers and relevant insights.

“In a time of constant change, FEI has provided a steady source of insight and perspective. It’s reassuring to know you’re not navigating these challenges alone.”

Whether you are deepening your involvement or considering FEI membership for the first time, now is an ideal moment to reflect on how community can support your leadership journey in the year ahead.
