The Financial Education & Research Foundation (FERF) and Randstad USA have launched the 2026 Finance Architecture Report, a national research initiative exploring how finance and accounting functions are evolving amid talent shifts, technological advancement, and growing organizational complexity.

Finance and accounting functions are being reshaped by converging pressures – shifting talent landscapes, advancing technology, and growing organizational complexity. To document this transformation at a national scale, the Financial Education & Research Foundation (FERF), in partnership with Randstad USA, has launched the 2026 Finance Architecture Report – a comprehensive research initiative examining the talent challenges and structural evolution facing today's finance and accounting leaders.

FEI Members are invited to participate in the survey before June 12. The survey takes approximately 12 – 15 minutes to complete, all responses are fully confidential and reported in aggregate, and all participants will be automatically entered for a chance to win one of three $150 Visa gift certificates. The completed report will be made available to participants upon publication.

Why it matters:

  • Finance and accounting functions are undergoing structural change across talent, technology, and organizational design simultaneously – and national benchmarking data helps leaders understand where their peers stand.
  • The findings will offer direct, practical context for workforce planning, succession strategy, and organizational decision-making.
