In my previous President’s letter, I discussed the continuing impact of COVID-19 and the effect it was having on our day-to-day lives. As much as I would like to believe that the end of the pandemic is in sight, it is clear that this is going to be with us for the foreseeable future and may get worse before things get better. The current trend in new cases across the country and reports from health officials is certainly not encouraging. While this has impacted the way the Baltimore Chapter operates, it has not stopped us from continuing to provide non-traditional, virtual programming to help deliver informative and relevant programs to our members. I am extremely proud of our sponsors and board members who have stepped up to find and develop these virtual events for the membership. While this doesn’t replace some of the social aspects of our traditional, in-person meetings, it does allow us to have some level of interaction with the chapter and maintain our connection to the membership. If you were not able to participate in some of our recent programming, there are links in the newsletter to allow you to see what you missed. I encourage you to view them when you have some free moments.
Our next program will be on November 12 at 8:30 a.m. when we will hear financial executives at Under Armour present “Building Under Armour’s Finance Culture.” This promises to be an informative presentation by an impressive lineup of speakers. I hope you will be able to join us on that day, and if you have not yet registered,

We have some additional virtual presentations that are being developed, and we will communicate the details on those events as soon as they are finalized.
I continue to miss the opportunity to personally interact with everyone at our monthly meeting, but rest assured we will be back to our more traditional format as soon as it is deemed safe to hold live meetings. I again want to encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources that FEI offers as part of your membership, and also reach out to your fellow members and our chapter sponsors to navigate the path to reopening your business, make introductions or any other needs where they may be able to provide assistance.
Stay safe, and I look forward to being able to interact in person in the coming months.
Best Regards,
Kevin
